It's Sunday. What's your ideal day?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37345points) August 21st, 2011

I love to spend Sundays doing as little as possible. Relaxation is the top of my agenda. I eat effortless meals. I lazily surf the Internet. I read. I watch movies.

I lounge and nap.

How do you love spending your Sundays?

Ideally it would be a monday so the bank is open.

I just walked to the bank, as I went past the church I thought “thats strange, the church is open”. Only after I arrived at the bank do I realize it’s closed and it’s sunday.

Ideally sunday should be NSFW.

5pm to 1am getting wifi to work on my landlords Linux laptop today. I just want to get wasted and sleep all day.

Ideally I would take a blanket to the park and read all day.

I love rainy sundays when my boyfriend and I chill out on the sofa and watch my Gilmore Girls DVDs. He usually does a bit of work on his laptop at the same time but it is still really relaxing for both of us.

I love both Saturday and Sunday as I am not at work and my family are home. Just love that.

Get up at 8 to a pancake breakfast (or else pancake-breakfast after church), go to church, hang out with friends, catch up on my anime (it’s getting pretty bad, now; I’m about six episodes behind across three titles), go to bed.

No rushing about… spend a few moments thinking about things that I should have doe on Saturday. Then replanning them for next Saturday.

Reading, and relaxing. I’m hoping for a decent breeze, so I can go to the park and fly my kite.

I love relaxing and enjoying the time with my family. We usually play board games or watch movies together on Sundays (unless we are out visiting family).

This weekend we are visiting family and I’m actually doing some things on the computer for work this morning.

I love Sundays as I get to sleep in late and snuggle with the honey. Now out on the deck sipping cappuccinos looking out over a gorgeous dew soaked wetland. Today is even seems better with one son already at work and the other at a sleep over the peace and quiet here is deafening. The rest of the day will be a mix of hikes, bike rides, idle chores and jammin with the kids later on. I love my Sunday’s always best day of the week!

A full pot of coffee—no measly two cups. French toast for breakfast. having a major newspaper is a treat.

Then relaxing. Usually a nap.

A big fat newspaper read cover to cover; spending time over the puzzles (Sukoku and crosswords/jumbles); a really nice breakfast with a mimosa; maybe a movie; relaxing; maybe an evening on the deck with family; watching the Sunday night lineup on HBO; a little champagne under the stars. Yep, that would be nice.

Wasting money with shopping! I don’t go out today since I didn’t have enough sleep yesterday and I know it’s a bad idea to shop without enthusiasm. At least, I can buy more stuff next Saturday/Sunday.

I was out of bed at 4.45am, slightly hung over from Saturday night out…… went to work 06.00 – 14.00. Came home & spent some time in the garden :-/
Any day I can spend some time in my garden is an ideal day for me, it means the weather is great & I’m chilled right out… Time for another coffee!

Sunday is brunch day for me: Whereas most days I have cereal or oatmeal for breakfast, on Sunday I take the time to make an omelette, sausage, toast, and some fruit (today, a warm banana topped with cinnamon and peanut butter). And a nice cup of coffee or a latte. Heaven!

I’m out of pain pills and the doctor isn’t in on Sunday to call in another prescription. I am anxiously awaiting Monday morning.

Ideally: waking up early, coffee, farmer’s market, home to listen to Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me! while unpacking groceries then spending the rest of the day cleaning & cooking. Eventually having dinner, finishing up some chores, and watching the ABC Sunday night line up. Shower, change sheets, & bed by 11 for the news and to sleep early for a fresh start to the week.

I slept in. That’s always a good start. And I’m just gonna sit around playing games or other lazy stuff like that.

That is awesome @Jude! How big a boat? I love sailing….very few better ways to glide on the water!

Went to work, got what looks like a first-degree burn under where my gloves had been (though there’s no pain), went out to dinner with family, young lady, hung out with young lady.
No pancakes. :\
The gloves were slightly damp; might the burn have come from that?
