If you're really fidgety, what do you do to calm down while you are studying?

Asked by jcs007 (1776points) May 5th, 2008

Do you: bite your nails? twiddle your thumbs? tap your pen? etc…

I’m just wondering if anyone has any calming/concentrating tips.

I throw on my headphones and listen to Explosions in the Sky – very slow, with no lyrics. I just place both hands to the side of whatever I’m studying and read id over and over. Then I study something else the same way, and then return to what I was reading and summarize what I remember and see if it matches up with what I need to remember.

Itunes, 5 star music, comfy chair. And then get away from the computer!!! It distracts me, (wireless headphones).

Worry beads, the squeezy silly putty balls.

Kneadable Erasers…. or Super Sculpey. They both calm me down.
