Is the song Oy Polna Koro Buska about a prostitute?

Asked by shpadoinkle_sue (7188points) August 30th, 2011

My choir tried to sing it in high school until we found out what it was about. Correct me if I’m wrong, all I can remember is that it’s about a man meeting a women on a hill in the middle of the night one of them selling wares. I think there was a bread basket involved. I also heard that it is a children’s folk song in Russia. I’ve probably got one or two things wrong, but it keeps getting stuck in my head. Last week it was Germany’s national anthem.

It’s got the same melody as the Tetris song.

Doesn’t seem Russian to me..in that the title as you present it makes no sense in Russian.
