Similar bands to fleet foxes?

I have never heard of them but you might find this interesting.

My Morning Jacket, Iron and Wine, Band of Horses, Bon Iver, Cocorosie, National, Mumford and Sons, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Sudden Passion, Taken by Trees, and I always recommend the Mountain Goats (the best band in the entire world, IMO).

I followed the “sounds like Fleet Foxes” rule a little loosely, but I’m sure you’ll absolutely love those bands if you like Fleet Foxes.

I agree with @KateTheGreat‘s recommendations, but I also wanted to add First Aid Kit to the list. Not so much because they sound similar, but they do a raw (but really lovely) cover of Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, and are the band that introduced me to Fleet Foxes.

@johnpowell That is an interesting site; I’ll check it out for recommendations. I would say, though, that although many of those bands will appeal to people who like Fleet Foxes, most of them are not similar to Fleet Foxes. But perhaps they address the question the OP really wanted answered.
