What are some of your favorite road trip movies?

Asked by jca (36062points) September 10th, 2011

I am watching Thelma and Louise right now on Channel 13, and the commentator was discussing it before it started. He mentioned it being a road trip movie, which I never thought of it as. It’s definitely one of my favorite movies.

Another excellent one I like is Little Miss Sunshine. Hilarious with a capital “h.”

For a unique take on the road trip genre there is The Straight Story. A true story of an old man who goes to visit his dying brother, from whom he“s been estranged for years, on a lawnmower. It’s an amazing and quite touching story. Talk about determination!!!
