How do you resize movies in Adobe Premiere CS3?

Asked by fonziguy (20points) May 7th, 2008

I recorded a screencast on my laptop, so it’s 1280×800. I want to bring this into Premiere and resize it for the web, but I can’t seem to do it. Height and width are greyed out in project settings.

You need to compress your clip for the web. You can do this with any variety of of professional compression tools, including Quicktime Pro, or use CS3’s built in compressor. I would recommend the default compressor for the internet, but changing the dimensions manually won’t do anything.

Premiere has to re-code the clip specifically for your purpose; in this case, you want it for the web.

Best of luck,
