Can someone help to solve my problems with Skype video chat?

Okay, so my friend and I were trying to video chat using Skype, but the video quality I was recieving was awful. He could see and hear me perfectly fine, but I was having trouble seeing and hearing him. We both had good internet connection too. What could have been causing such poor video quality?

You might have a high ping. If that’s so, well, you can’t really help it but change ISP. Not only speed matters, just saying. You can check your ping here.
