What is the longest you’ve had a “crush” as an adult and did anything ever become of it?

Not very long. I think infatuation is my problem lol. I’m a shitty person like that. :D

About 2 years.

Nothing became of it. She was a very intelligent, attractive, assertive higher up at my company. She came on to me first. Eventually we decided she should switch departments as she was married.

Probably something like 18 months. She dissed me hardcore – never talked to me again. We were decent friends up until my revelation. She turned out to be a fuck up anyway (got addicted to crystal meth, dropped out of college), so in the end it was for the best.

You mean not being involved with the person? Probably a year. Nothing came of it, and I blame my work moving me away :(

I have a new crush now, though, so I’m hoping her relationship miraculously falls apart so I can swoop in lol (just kidding).

Ten years.

We’re best friends.

Don’t know how she feels about me, and I probably never will because I just can’t get the guts to make a move.

@abysmalbeauty yes, in middle school. Became best friends after that. Dated in highschool. Didn’t speak for five years. Recently became best friends again. Ambiguous romantic tension developed. Etc.

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard am slightly jealous of you though, I have simply become that friend, yeah, the one that’s like a brother. Shit out of luck for me, at least for a while.

If you count the years before I became an adult it would be 5 years for one crush. It started in high school and ended when I actually had a conversation with him in college and found out that he was very boring and the thoughtful intelligent look on his face was actually just a vacant stare.

One that started as an adult lasted a year. He was extremely handsome… looked like Antonio Banderez… he was sweet funny smart.. and totally gay. I kept hoping he was secretly bi.. but there wasn’t a chance.

About 18 months and I’m not sure I’m completely over it, but it’s under control. It was a completely inappropriate crush and I never let anyone know. I backed off until I could think of him as just a friend. Ridiculous, the whole thing.

@abysmalbeauty I’d like to ask, is it wrong to have a crush, while in love and in a relationship with someone.

abysmalbeauty's avatar

@abysmalbeauty I’m not sure, i’ve asked myself the same question many many times. But then again im not in love anymore so to me its more wrong then it has to be

Are @dreamwolf and @abysmalbeauty the same person talking to themselves?

abysmalbeauty's avatar

@Neizvestnaya I sure hope not cuz that means I might have split personality disorder…..
