Can anyone recommend a moving van similar to UHaul?

Asked by tko7800 (586points) September 20th, 2011

I need to move but I don’t have that many things to take. I was hoping to rent a van but U-Haul only lets you borrow vans if you return it back to the location you took it from. Does anyone know of a service that lets you borrow a van or even a large car for a one-way trip? I really don’t want to get a truck.

Budget, Driving Force, even IKEA have van rentals

Most rental places do vans only locally.

How long is the trip? Maybe you could find someone on Craig’s list to drive it back? Or a student, if your end-destination is a college or university town.

I suggest you try Enterprise. They rent one way vans. We have a Family contract with them, because we have used them so much.

I 2nd @YARNLADY‘s suggestion. A rental car is what you are looking for. You can rent a van or an SUV for a one-way trip if you don’t have a lot to move.

@galicalled The trip is about 100 miles.

Thanks for the tips. I think I’m going with Enterprise.
