What are some great folk tunings for guitar?

I don’t know if you like Joni Mitchell or not but she used a lot of great alternate tuning patterns, some of which you can find here and other places on the internet.

There are also some good alternate tunings here and they even have a little “machine” that “generates” alternate tunings but I don’t have any experience using it so I can’t vouch for it.
