I had a Toshiba lap top. It lasted me about as long as the average life of a laptop: four years. Then the hard drive just DIED on me. In that it was impossible to recover any data from it. So I found it to be very average. Not too bad and not out of the ordinary.

Now he asks.

Prepare for buyer’s remorse.

I recently bought my daughter a Toshiba computer. It has had numerous problems relating to input devices and power sources. Right now, she can’t charge it because the connector is broken. Also many keys stick. It will have to be sent back to the manufacturer I think.

My daughter also has a Toshiba laptop and its still going after the mainframe quit and she had it serviced.

I’ve had two Toshiba laptops. Very solidly built and I’ve never had any problems with them. Would have no problems buying from them again.

@Jellie hard drives fail. They are well known for it. It doesn’t matter who you buy them off. This is why people tell you to back up.

My husband had a couple of toshiba TVs prior to our marriage. He loved ‘em and kept upgrading. His previous company used Toshiba laptops…They held up well to non-standard wear & tear.

@Lightlyseared I quoted the experience because I’ve used two other laptops and they are still running for about same time period that Toshiba lasted but they haven’t died the way Toshiba’s did. Like I said I am aware laptops have a particular life but my experience with this seemed worth sharing.

My laptop, DVD players, and both televisions are all Toshiba products and I’ve never had a problem with any of them. Toshiba makes superior products and I’ll keep buying them for a long time to come.
