What are the top 3 songs played the most in your iTunes?

Asked by Blackberry (33949points) October 2nd, 2011 from iPhone

I just looked at the list of songs with the most plays, and I was surprised at what they were.

Cibo Matto’s Moonchild, Nujabes’ Horizon, and Silverchair’s Tomorrow were mine.

Do you think your top plays say anything about you?

Foster The People – Pumped Up Kicks

Florence + The Machine – Dog Days Are Over

Adele – Rolling In The Deep

I don’t know what it says about me, if anything. : )
I know I really like the music in the first two, I think it’s pretty funky

Lydia: Stay Awake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSRYo0vrNa8
Frontier City: KOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-zbFHsDBgg
The Cleanse Song: Bright Eyes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-G9yY9y59M

That’s odd… Who’d a thunk?

Closer to Fine Indigo Girls (214)

Linger The Cranberries (212)

You’re So Vain Carly Simon (210)

my daughter must have gotten ahold of my iPod because Little Bit of Red Serena Ryder has 857 plays

I love your question because sometimes when I am watching those forensic based shows I wonder what those people whould make of me and this is a good example. Top three:
S&M – Rhianna
I Like It – Enrique Iglesias
Why I Am – Dave Matthew Band.

The first two are workout songs, so they get played a lot, but “Why I Am” is just cuz I like it so much. I think someone would think I like up-beat pop/dance-type music much more than I do because I listen to my iPod when I work out. I rarely listen to that kind of music when I’m not working out though.

@tranquilsea – I love the opening on “You’re so Vain.” You hear that and you know something good is coming. I’m going to listen to it now!!

I don’t use iTunes, but recently I’ve been listening to a lot of Canon Rock. It’s a remix of Pachelbel’s Canon in D…link

Quite catchy. =]

1. The Only Summer I Could Feel – Award For Science Fiction (this is actually the first song my band wrote).

2. Ageless Beauty – Stars

3. Skullcrusher Mountain – cover by Tetrastar

What these say about me:

1. I’m a narcissist who listens to my own music more than established bands.

2. “We will always be a light.”

3. “I’m so into you, but I’m way too smart for you.”

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard In response to 3. “I’m so into you, but I’m way too smart for you.” .... I think I ran into your twin brother the other day ; )

I have never used iTunes, but now I’m dying to know what my top three would be.

Male's avatar

@GabrielsLamb I’ve never heard of that before. My first impression was “what the hell is this?” Nonetheless, thanks for the recommendation (great answer). I guess I’m not into that sort of thing, just Canon exclusively. >.>

GabrielsLamb's avatar

@Male I didn’t mean it to sound that way, I love Pachabel. Which is why I sent you modern versions of classic aria. “That sort of thing.” I adore!

Thanks @GabrielsLamb ! Her music is so beautiful, my heart just melts. In hichschool one of my favorite tracks was Lydia’s “December.” Annnnd, Bright Eyes, oh that conor oberst is suiting fo this season. It’s getting cold.

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard Can’t, sorry. It’s off topic and I would get too pissy. I have very strong opinions of people who think they are superior to others for any reason, (especially intelligence).
That is how I interpret that particular statement. I am not saying that is what you think.

No One by Alicia Keys – My all time favourite song
Monday Morning by Melanie Fiona
Johnny by Melanie Fiona

I’m not surprised by the first one as it is my favourite song of all time but, as much as I love the two Melanie Fiona tracks I am surprised that they beat any of Cher’s or Barbra Streisand’s to the top three.

@EnchantingEla note the quotation marks. What I said above were lyrics from that particular song.

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard I thought you were being serious, I felt it was merited… and I felt a bit of admiration well up inside for you.

Ela's avatar

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard My apologies : )

Btw @GabrielsLamb I absolutely loved “A Finger, Two Dots, Then Me”

TexasDude's avatar

@GabrielsLamb thanks, you are too kind!

@EnchantingEla, no worries. It’s all good in da hood.
