Other than flowers---anything else you can recommend as a long-distance gift with impact?

After some enormous difficulties, a friend in the States has secured a new job. I want to send something to say, “Fantastic, so happy for you!” but I don’t want to send flowers. (It’s a woman, if that makes a difference.) If they are flowers, I would like them to be “different”. I thought of “Edible Arrangements” which send arrangements of fruits, but was looking for something “girly” like a basket of girly stuff, maybe?(Meaning perfumes/soaps). I just don’t know any companies that make beautiful, interesting gifts (cakes, confections, fragrances, etc ) that elicit a “Wow!” when you open the box. I remember Oprah having a cake company on her show…that sent cakes in these hatboxes (for example), but can’t remember the name of the company (anyone remember?)

I welcome any ideas/suggestions…including non-food items. And thanks in advance!
