What cameras are used by most popular You Tube vloggers?

You Tube is providing it’s most successful vloggers with this cool cameras with HD and all other awesome possibilities.Does anybody knows what brand and type of a camera that is?

I think sony has some of the most popular ones out there, the one raywilliamjohnson has is really good, and its in his FAQ

jpizzle11 used some HD ones for the last couple seasons of the microwave show, and thats in their FAQ as well.

My panasonic LX2 (I think they’re up to LX5 now) takes HD video. The native resolution is wide-screen on this camera and it has a Leica lens. Lots of digital SLRs now take HD video but they are of course much heavier to carry around.

The best camera is the one you have with you when you need it. Sure if you want the absolute best picture quality going you could blow the a fortune on a REDone or a Sony F-35 but really you can get aceptably good HD video from most smartphones these days.

What are these other awesome capabilities you mentioned? Because a lot of the extras you see on youtube are the effect of editing software – not the camera itself.
