If I buy a mac what can I do with my PC fonts?

Asked by fonziguy (20points) May 11th, 2008

Thinking of buying a MacBook Pro. Currently a Dell user so I want to know what I’ll have to do in regards to my fonts. Will I have to convert them all to use on the mac? Will I have to buy the mac versions? Any advice helpful. Cheers

The Mac comes with a great selection of fonts which will replace your PC versions. For the others, as long as they’re TrueType or OpenType, the Mac will read them fine.

If you have a large collection, use Linotype’s free Font Explorer X to manage and auto-activate your fonts.
