How to make a gathered song/mp3 into individual song/mp3's?

Asked by xTheDreamer (897points) October 18th, 2011

I’ve downloaded a music file from The Glitch Mob, when I opened the file it was their new album in one mp3. Thus when I play it on iTunes it would be 1hr long. How can I make them into their individual form? Such as when you just download one song or when you download an album and you unzip the file and you’d get all their songs of that album in one folder.

Many people like Audacity. Personally, I never managed to get it to work, but you might

I use something else, but I can’t remember the name of it right now; I will have to get back to you when I get home.

However, I have also done stuff like that on my Droid X using Ringtone Maker. Maybe some ringtone program can do it?

I second Audacity. There are a bunch of tutorials on Youtube that shows how to split tracks.

I was also going to say audacity.. but someone already said it… twice. =)

There is also Aviary which will allow you to edit your mp3 online without installing anything.
