[NSFW] What drug/s make the best aphrodisiac?

Asked by ETpro (34605points) October 20th, 2011

Let’s say you could legally take whatever you wanted with whomever you wanted and then do whatever you wanted—all legal and safe. No chance of harm to anyone. What drug or drugs do you think do the most to enhance sex? How would you use them under those conditions?

Ecstasy, pot, shrooms, cocaine, heroin. I’ve never tried ecstasy myself, but I’ve heard that many people don’t even bother if they don’t know they can have sex on it, that that’s the reason to do X for them, that the risk is too big if they aren’t going to be getting laid. But then you take it, and it pretty much just takes someone blowing on you to make you cum.

I would say in decending order of effectiveness ecstacy, alcohol and to some extent cocaine. Pot puts me in the opposite mood, TBH.

Boogabooga1's avatar

I agree with x

Aethelflaed's avatar

@Jellie For me, pot depends a lot on the strain, and on my existing mood and if I’m with someone who’s turning me on. Pot might not usually make me horny out of no where, but it’ll amplify both the arousal and the sensations if I already am.

@Aethelflaed helps me fantasize better, that’s for sure :P

crank used to do it for me big time.. I was probably a potential major contributor toward over-population during those years for sure.. Never heard about any repercussions so I guess I got off lucky.. (thanks mr. trojan).

Prozac
Fluoxetine
Roletra
Zyprexa
Plegomazin

etc

… so keep talking about cocaine or hashish.

Aethelflaed's avatar

@Hibernate I think several of those drugs on your list often suppress sex drive….

Hibernate's avatar

Those with a medical prospectus say “one MIGHT have the…” not that it’s 100%.

And until you try them, you will never know how they “work” on your body.

Aethelflaed's avatar

@Hibernate Well, that is why I said “often”. But, of those drugs that I mentioned, they don’t have a complementary side effect of raising sex drive, so that’s why they don’t seem appropriate for the question. And, they aren’t good for immediate effects; aphrodisiacs are normally something that will take effect within a couple hours, not slowly over the course of several weeks.

Hibernate's avatar

But there’s wasn’t anything in the question to make it specific .. like in the next few minutes. Take them now and start feeling that “good” in a few days [while keep taking them you’ll feel “good” a few days then. Continuum!

@ETpro I’m just curious. Is this just a random question, or are you looking for ideas you might actually use, yourself?

HungryGuy's avatar

Ecstacy is the closest thing there is to an actual aphrodisiac. Intoxicants like alcohol reduce one’s inhibitions, but they aren’t necessarily aphrodisiacs.

ETpro's avatar

@wundayatta Married with children. I;m faithful to a wife who isn’t the least bit interested in doing the nasty dance any more, so it’s really idle interest and checking my own memories of my wild-child days with new pharmacology. Never hurst to know, just in case… :-)

@Hibernate Wow. Have you actually had enough experience to accurately rank that list in order of effectiveness? All I remember Ketamine doing is creating the delusion that the walls were breathing and the floor had a rolling motion like a nearly calm sea.

@HungryGuy Thanks. Ecstasy shows up on lots of people’s lists.

Neizvestnaya's avatar

I remember ecstasy as great for making kissing even better but nothing else. Guy friends reported it wasn’t good for them to try sex on since their tinky winkies wouldn’t work or if they did then they couldn’t orgasm.

rebbel's avatar

With Paracetamol I feel quite frisky.
Without it too, by the way.

Hibernate's avatar

@ETpro it wasn’t a “top”. Tried more but I did not remember all. I just write down a few while I was remembering them.

Anyway the cheapest and the more secure thing that will work still remains a good red wine. If both can drink a bit after a while it will work wonders.

ETpro's avatar

@Neizvestnaya Yeah, I’m surprised nobody paired Calais or Viagra with their drug cocktail. I would Acid, ludes and viagra. Acid usually left me limp dicked. I do remember one unique trip, though. One of our neighbors was having a randy sounding party the night my lady and I did a good does of purple haze. Listening to them and their music, we pulled out a matress and plopped it on the floor. Then we went to town. I must have climaxed 50 times that night. We fucked and sucked all night long.

I also remember that Black Beauties (a form of speed) made me feel tremendously randy I could get a raging hard-on using that, but try as I might, I could not cum. I looked into it, and apparently that is a common reaction. I wonder if that’s what they use in porn movies to make it possible for the male lead to bang away at an insane pace all movie long.

HungryGuy's avatar

@ETpro – That’s because drugs like Cialis and Viagra are not aphrodisiacs. They don’t reduce inhibitions or increase libido or alter brain chemistry in any way. They’re merely muscle relaxers that, when used on a (ahem) particular part of the anatomy, causes blood to pressurize a certain inflatable membrane because the inlet muscles are letting blood in while the outlet muscles are sealing the exit.

Neizvestnaya's avatar

@ETpro: I hadn’t remembered Black Beauties since my high school/college daze ;P but yeah, they got guys all hot and bothered but nothing would cum of it. Viagra works for guys to get and keep a hard on but I didn’t think it caused arousal- whatever though, it definitely works.

Blueroses's avatar

Infatuation is my aphrodisiac drug of choice. Nothing beats the naturally created cocktail of serotonin, adrenaline and dopamine.

Aethelflaed's avatar

@Blueroses Unless it’s the lab-created, syringe-injected cocktail of serotonin, adrenaline, and dopamine…

Blueroses's avatar

@aethelflaed aka Nicholas Sparks books? Lol

ETpro's avatar

@HungryGuy & @Neizvestnaya I understand that. But drugs like Quaaludes decrease ability a little while absolutely annihilation inhibitions. LSD makes me horny, but my render it hard to get hard. The idea is that if the active ingredient helps with horniness or rids an uptight person of inhibitions, then the EED treatment will keep them active enough to take advantage of the feeling.

@Blueroses Nothing at all wrong with organix medicatin. Infatuation works wonders.

@Aethelflaed Somehow, infatuation wouldn’t be the same if you had to mainline it.

Neizvestnaya's avatar

@Blueroses: I went to middle and high school with Nick Sparks. He was one of the “straight kids”, extrememly nice though and super cute.

MDMA imo is overrated in the whole sex thing. It does feel good but honestly most times when I take MDMA sex is one of the farthest things from my mind.

The best intoxicated sex I’ve ever had was while on LSD. The only downside being that after climax I’m no longer tripping so ive learned to save the sex for the later part of the trip. DMT sex was quite amazing too but I wouldnt call that so much as me having sex but rather my SO having sex with me while I was in a whole other world lol.

I feel so bad for people in marriages where the partner has no interest in sex anymore. Especially when they don’t even consider their partner’s feelings. This is grounds for divorce. It’s also grounds for cheating although it’s not a good idea.

ETpro's avatar

@EmptyNest I don’t know whose comment led you to say that, or if it was just you expressing your own heartfelt angst. But how well I know.

GeorgeGardner's avatar

PDE-IV Inhibitor is a type of drugs which is used in Viagra. And we all know the work of Viagra.

ETpro's avatar

@GeorgeGardner Viagra enables people with mild to moderate ED to have sex, but it has zero aphrodisiac properties.
