Ipod Classics/ITunes Podcast Sync Problem...any ideas?

Asked by DarlingRhadamanthus (11273points) November 2nd, 2011

I have an Ipod Classic (mega storage capacity) and am having problems getting some podcasts of internet shows onto my Ipod. I subscribe to this one show and the show is on the Podcast list. I checked “Get” and then checked the boxes of the shows which is what you need to do to get it to copy onto the Ipod (right..? Hope so.) And the first few shows did copy, the rest did not. I go over to “Settings” at the bottom of the Ipod list and set it to “Download All” and “Keep all Episodes” and they are not found on my Podcast list at all. I have found a few filed under “music” but they are just not going over to the Ipod. I know I must be doing something wrong or missing some step or…??? Any ideas?

Thank you very much.

I want to make sure that you are tranfeering podcasts that are audio and not video? If they are video, then you might be downloading a higher resolution than your iPod can decode. If it is audio, ensure that you have the latest version of iTunes, ensure that your iPod is setup to work with the operating system you are running (ie. iPod setup to a Mac computer is different than an iPod setup under a PC or Windows computer). Try synchronizing again and see if the problem persists. If not, I can honestly recommend searching on Apple as there are more detailed troubleshooting procedures. I hope I helped! Good Luck!
