Who is your audience (age, nationality, average level of education, etc.)? What is the environment like where you’ll be presenting (large auditorium, small classroom, etc) and how many people are likely to be there?

it’s going to be for a group of college students ranging from freshmen to seniors (no more than 20 people), in a classroom and this presentation is supposed to be killer, my life is depending on it. i’m thinking i should begin with them closing their eyes and putting a vivid scene in their minds. i need to fill up the seven minutes though!

What exactly are you going to be telling them about abduction and trafficking? I think the tone of the information you will be providing should also set the tone of the overall presentation, so that may be helpful for giving you some suggestions.

I agree with @SuperMouse Prezi.com is great for giving a presentation that is a bit more interactive and looks different to powerpoint.
I personally don’t think child trafficking is a light-hearted enough topic to be drastically changing things around and making things ‘fun’. Its the wrong kind of topic. The content itself should be the thing that captures the audience I would hope.

Is this a class assignment? What is the class? Why does it have to take this format? If there is a format, what is it? Can you do anything you want so long as you don’t use powerpoint?

I would start by telling the story of an abduction that strikes closest to home. I doubt if your class will have kids themselves, so maybe a story about them being abducted—how it happens, and how it could happen.

Like, “You’re sitting at an outdoor table at a coffee shop, and a nice looking man comes up and asks you if you’re looking for work. You say yes, and he sits down and starts outlining the advantages of the job: training, travel, interaction with smart people, lots of entertaining, etc. He asks if you’re interested and you say you are. So he invites you to come meet some other people.”

Etc. However it goes down. Then you tell how they end up as prostitutes and maybe harem girls or whatnot.

Once it’s real for people, you talk about whatever else you need to talk about. Then you make your pitch for whatever it is you want them to do. Then you are done.
