What is the softest kind of towel?

This is going to sound moronic. So, I was at my parents a few years back and my mom had gotten this new supper soft, super absorbant towel. I stole it. I took it back with me and I have had it for years. It is white, and the (for lack of a better term) brussles on it are HUGE. This is the absolute softest towel I have ever seen.

I used bleach on it a few times, taking the ink off of the tag. I have no idea what kind of towel it is. For the past 2 years I have felt EVERY towel I see wherever I go, and never find something similar. My mom thought it might have been a bamboo towel, but I found those somewhere and they were not nearly as soft… and the texture was entirely different. I need to know what kind of towel this is. I NEED MORE SOFT TOWELS!!!
