Is Mitt Romney et al, again fear mongering?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) November 22nd, 2011

Does it seem to you that Mitt Romney and the party of Twiddle Dumb is fear mongering again? Like that ”Three o’clock call” in the morning scare. If I have not forgotten, was it Obama that got three or four of the top Al Qaeda leadership, something Botch and Chumpy Bush and Chaney failed to do in two terms? What is Mitt saying, we will go back to war, spend trillions more when the nation needs the money here? Is he just all hat and no cattle because it sound tough? If he actually believes in going back to war, after we have been at war longer than any modern war, why would anyone vote for him? Should we vote for a President who wants to go to war, and maybe not an easy one, so flippantly?

No, I am not a member of the Party of Twiddle Dee, Dem before you get started on my political leanings

Yes, he is.
And that newt advocating outright sabotage and inciting dissidents.
The last time that happened, it turned Iran from a democracy into a theocratic dictatorship.

Can somebody tell me what “et al” means?
It seems to be used a lot lately on Fluther…
↓ Thanks, @ragingloli.

Mitt has realized the only way he will get above 24% of the Republican vote is to go after Obama, and not the other Republican candidates.

Although it is not above the democrats to do this, republicans are by far the masters of using fearmongering.

The only one ones the stage at tonight’s Republican national security debate that DIDN’T fear monger almost incessantly were Ron Paul and Wolf Blitzer. It’s the new Republican mantra, “We have nothing but fear itself.”

@ratboy Ha! Well said.

Mitt is a political chameleon and he flip flops so much that I can hear a loud distinct flapping sound everytime he walks. I’m still trying to figure out how he can be the Republican front runner over brilliant candidates like Gary Johnson or Ron Paul. I guess Samuel Francis (late conservative columnist) was correct when he called the modern day Republican Party the stupid party.

@Paradox25 and why is it Gary Johnson cannot even get any press time, let alone an invite to the fight.

@rojo Partisan conformism. Republitards see him as being too libertarian and Demorats see him as, you guessed it, being too libertarian.
