Possible to have an option that takes off the great answer or points shown?

Asked by whitetigress (3129points) December 1st, 2011

Personally it would be awesome to have it taken off for me. Like everyone else could have theirs on, but an option where it wouldn’t show mines to the public would be cool. What do you think?

I don’t see this happening since the developers are kinda busy and this place is on cruise control.

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard Well for me, points are for competitions and I don’t believe in competition.

Lurve isn’t meant to be a competitive thing.

That. It’s just an arbitrary number that has no real value.

They are also a vague guide to how experienced someone is with the site… that can be helpful at times…

No, I don’t believe they can be removed, or should be. Just don’t look.

Nope, I don’t see that happening.

@whitetigress: Don’t assume that we are paying all that much attention to you. Now, speaking of interesting people, what do you think of me?

What do you think this would accomplish? How do you think it would benefit you? Why would it be “awesome” to take off your points or lurve or whatever the hell you are talking about? Are you ashamed of something? Do you think it would put you on more equal footing in some way? Do you feel inferior? Superior? Do you think it would garner you more attention? What is behind this? For the life of me, I can’t see any benefit.

I’m still wondering whether it’s a guy with a feminine nickname (tigress) – but he/she ignored my question.

@zensky : He recently had a Q about his impending fatherhood. I’m guessing he.

Tigress? And that avatar – a female skeleton in a big hat? Maybe he’s an artiste.

I don’t remember where, but I recall a question on which he stated he was male. I have no clue why he used “tigress” as part of his name.
