I understand that if you e-filed and had the cost of e-filing deducted from your refund, that your check will be sent to you instead of direct deposit. I believe the IRS will start mailing the checks in June.

Did you direct deposit your refund? If you didn’t and the last two digits of your SS number are high you might have to wait a while. And I would wait until midnight before freaking out.

yea i did do direct diposit and i still dont have it

Correction, those checks will start mailing out today depending on the last 2 digits of your SS number

iwas just thinking about that today as a matter of fact, and I am not nervous, as much as I am just ready to get the money.
besides, we have nothing to worry about right? Something could be done if we don’t get one….I definitly filled in 06!

i just read on the IRS website when i typed my social in that im not eligible now because i was claimed by another tax payer. but im 19 and my parents did not get any money for claiming me. so now they tell you if someone claims you, you dont get it either?!?

“To receive a payment, taxpayers must have a valid Social Security number, $3,000 of income and file a 2007 federal tax return. IRS will take care of the rest. Eligible people will receive up to $600 ($1,200 for married couples), and parents will receive an additional $300 for each eligible child younger than 17.”

Always read the directions. That will help you for the rest of your life.

It’s always a shame when someone screws you on a bribe.

Almost like calling the police when someone sells you baking powder instead of real coke.

@futurelaker88: Were you 18 at the time they filed?

@Spargett That happened up here (Seattle area) only it was some kind of vegetation, not ‘grass’. The buyer was arrested and the seller was not found. How do you spell
D U M B A S S?
