What are the steps of measuring the pH of taurine concentrations?

Asked by emeraldisles (1949points) December 10th, 2011

How would I go about measuring pH changes of taurine concentrations. I am trying to determine how changes in pH, if any, affect taurine concentrations from energy drinks and sodas. I need to be able to devise steps on doing this. When I googled this, websites talk about making a buffer so that pH can be determined. I am also trying to figure out how an acid and base sample would affect my taurine samples.

You could use ph paper with different samples of energy drinks and see trends. Or could get one of those expensive test kits they use in streams to see how well Salmon will do. That would get you more data and stuff.
