Would anyone that does not live in the United States and uses Firefox be willing to test out a Proxy server for me?

It would only take a few minutes and I will PM you directions. I won’t post them publicly since I don’t want my server to die.
All you need to do is Firefox -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings -> Manual Proxy Configuration
Then you enter two strings of numbers and try to see if Hulu works.

Waiting for the instructions, it’s like 4:30am in the morning and my bed is calling me! I’ll wait for like ten minutes and I’m off to bed! If I’m not here by then, send me the instructions and I’ll follow up when I wake up or so.
Okay I entered the settings. It’s the first time I hear of something like Hulu but I get your idea. Would it be okay if I check pandora? Pandora does not work outside the US and I use a vpn so yeah. I’ll check hulu but I’m not sure on that so if you guide me to it… ?

Pretty much visit http://www.whatismyip.com/ and see if it says 173.255.243.87
And then try hulu or the Daily show
And pandora works for me too. Just anything that is normally blocked in your country but allowed in the united states.
Nah it’s alright, I follow up to these stuff pretty quickly! I entered everything perfectly but the IP still didn’t change. Your IP Address Is: 82.194.62.25…... That’s what it said. I’ll try hulu and the daily show now. Want me to print screen the proxy settings that I changed?

It’s still the same! :( Not working, maybe my laptop is crazy a bit? I think you should ask someone else as well too just too make sure. I’ll save the settings you gave me and I’ll check them from my friend’s house tomorrow or something, will let you know if it’s working!

I screwed up and forgot to restart squid. So the changes I made weren’t applied. That is probably what was messing you up. Others are confirming success once I restarted.
I know this isn’t super helpful @johnpowell but I’d love to try this out and send you notes when I get back to Holland next week (after 31 Dec).
