NSFW What are considered normal bumps on the shaft of the penis?

Asked by whitetigress (3129points) December 23rd, 2011

I have encountered little dots (about 5) of them near the bottom of the shaft of the penis. I have been steady with the same female for over a year. I have not cheated or anything like that. The bumps kind of have a little puss at the end, like a zit, but not red or sore on the edges. Well I’ve had them for about 4 months now easily, I’d say. Two days ago I popped the juices (puss/yellow) out of it. I thought, perhaps in growns? And then today as I showered I noticed a swelling in that area. About 3 centimeters in diameter. I popped the puss out again. I just checked again and I noticed the other bumps don’t really have a yellow puss thingy. Any help? Photo links would help!

have you shaved down there recently? It sound to me that you have in grown hair or just little baby zits happening.

That sounds like you’ve just got some ingrown hairs. Get checked in case though. 4 months is a long time for something like that to be going on.

@judochop Nope no shaving. I’m hoping they are just zits. @Esedess I will get checked when school is session! thanks

I once got an ingrown hair down there that got infected I guess, and turned into a huge bump. It hurt so bad. I finally was able to pop it and a ton of gross puss shit came out…and then it was gone by the next day…..hm. So maybe just ingrowns?

@deni Yeah I’ve had that a couple times where the pubic hair grows, you know like 5–6 inches down from the belly button around that area, but never on the shaft. So far it doesn’t hurt, and I didn’t see a hair come out when I popped it!

I had a similar occurrence some time ago. As far as I can tell it was some kind of rash, related to sexual intercourse (in excessive amounts). In particular, I had shaved the area, and then had sex… and I believe the basically “open wound” areas became mildly infected.

If it’s not spreading across your privates, you are probably clear on the STD front.

@SuperMouse Hm no they are not nearly and big and bold as those. In fact they are tiny. I’m tempted to photograph them. For answers sake.
