Songs that seem to define your life/who you are?

Asked by King_Pariah (11484points) January 1st, 2012

Ever find a song that seems to almost describe your life/who you are almost perfectly? If so, are you willing to share that song with the rest of us?

Here’s one of mine, Narcissistic Cannibal – Korn

Lots of songs have made me feel this way. The longer I think about it, the longer the list of songs grows.

I remember before my first marriage ended, when it really wasn’t good and I wasn’t happy at all but hadn’t got to the point where I could emotionally or physically move on, I felt very trapped so this song really touched me

Now, my life feels more like this

The theme song for the original Dawn of the Dead movie. It doesn’t have any lyrics, and that’s just fine and dandy. I’ve considered it my own personal theme song since I was a teen. Nothing about this says anything about me, but the darkened mood and creep factor that the piece presents has always called out to me perfectly. And anyways, it’s zombies! I like zombies.

I really love the song The Story (Originally sung by Brandi Carlisle, but I like this version by Sara Ramirez.)

@Symbeline Yikes, your theme song is just creepy! I remember watching as a teen the movie trailer of Dawn of the Dead with that soundtrack playing over gloomy, dreary, wobbly street shots of houses with flickering lights within them, not one person seen, just a voice over from a crackling radio broadcast talking about the walking dead. Jeez, what intense foreboding atmosphere! Classic!

Here’s my 80’s theme that would stay with me. Now this music has seduction, foreplay, sex and orgasmic tones in it.
