"Lazy-susan": Did a husband invent this for his lazy wife named Susan? Or did a good humored woman named Susan invent and name it for her lazy self?

I suspect we’ll never know but fun to think about.
The guy who invented it was using it in his workshop and some friends came in and saw it and told Ivan (the craftsman) that he was getting too lazy. So they started teasing him about his “Lazy Ivan” as they called it.
The dude couldn’t take it, so he brought it into the kitchen and put it on the table there telling his wife she was such a lazy Susan (for Susan was her name), that maybe this would get dinner on the table before it got cold. His wife was mute or she surely would have said something about it, but thereafter, it became known as a Lazy Susan, and his wife opened a little Inn and became known as the most efficient cook in town.
Ivan, unfortunately, couldn’t get his orders done in time because he wasn’t Lazy Ivan any more. He ended up washing dishes for his wife whose establishment later became known as Silent Sue’s.
Whatever.
Haha..I have no idea but I like the novelty of your question.
Maybe “Lazy Susan” was bedridden after giving birth to 17 children in 18 years and she didn;t have the strength to pass the potatoes anymore. lol
