Math question, help please?

Integration of 1/(1+x)+ 1/(1-x) dx
Can you help me please?

Well the answer is supposed to be = ln|1+x| – ln|1-x| +c
but i don’t understand where did the minus sign come from?

Integration of d(cabin)/cabin = log cabin.

To answer your question, it looks like it has something to do with the -x inside the log.

Remember the chain rule: when you have a function within a function, you must multiply by the derivative of the inside function and then integrate the outside function. Your inside function is 1-x, the derivative of which is….?
