Why would my IPad suddenly be unable to connect to my own home network?

It connected the first day I brought it home a week ago, it’s never had a problem since. I just walk in the house and it’s connected. But all of a sudden, today, it says it can’t connect. We don’t require a password and obviously, I AM connected to our home wireless network, or I wouldn’t be posting this question.
