How can I make my face not so shiny when wearing foundation?

I’ve been using M.A.C foundation lately and while it does cover redness and imperfections I’ve noticed my skin looks a lot more oily or greasy. Even after I put on powder to try and minimize the shine. How can I make my face not so shiny ? I’ve never had this problem with any other foundation before. Thanks.
