Hipster wanna-be (sort of). Help?

I don’t want to become the hipsters I see on Tumblr, but I’m looking to change my wardrobe so reflect the more creative personality I’ve taken on as of late. I don’t have a huge budget, but I have some money to spare. I’m looking to buy clothing that is relatively cheap, yet fashionable. I’m also looking for some advice on how to style myself. (I’m bad when it comes to fashion advice and what not). So, if you’d like to offer a bit of advice to me or direct me into the direction of a fashionista, I’d appreciate it.
