Can I listen to a voice memo on my ipad that was sent from an iphone?

Asked by Evelyn_475 (792points) February 8th, 2012

My boss has an i pad & iPhone. I tried to send him a voice memo that was recorded on my iPhone but he claimed that he didn’t see anything that he could listen to. I assume that he was on his i pad and saw my message through i message. Maybe the voice memo didn’t show up because the ipad doesn’t have voice memos? I really don’t know because I am not familiar with ipads and my boss is out of the office so I cannot look at his ipad to see. He is a little technologically impaired so there is a possibility that he doesn’t know how to use it. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It should have played as long as it was sent in an email…..
There are apps for converting audio files, so if he still hasn’t been able to figure out how to play it at this point, I’d just try converting before you send it.
