Are there any immigrants to the United States who would be interested in doing an interview for a school project?

Asked by Fly (8726points) February 14th, 2012

I’m specifically looking for people who remember their immigration. It’s a short interview with fairly simple questions (i.e. Why did you leave your native country?) which I will send to you in a PM if you are interested in participating. If you don’t want to do the interview but are an immigrant to the U.S., feel free to share your story here! I would love to hear from you.

Thanks so much for any help!

My husband will do it. He first came with his family the first two years of high school, but then they all moved back to Mexico, and he finished high school there. He returned to the US for college on his own (well his sister was living here also at the time) and stayed here. He became a citizen about 10 years ago, in his 30’s.

I already got a volunteer for the interview, but thanks so much for your response, @JLeslie!
