What are some good bars in the Downtown Boston area?

Asked by JesusWasAJewbot (1510points) February 19th, 2012

I will be attending PAX East in Downtown Boston (Boston Convention & Exhibition Center) with a few friends and we are looking for some bars/restaurants to go to at night within the area.

Can anyone recommend some places for people in their mid 20’s early 30’s, want to stay away from the younger college crowds.

edited by me. Ask the concierge at your hotel. The area is crammed with bars, cafes, etc.

If I were staying in downtown Boston, without fail, I’d go to Cheers.

You are also near Mass Ave which has a ton of ethnic bars and places to eat.

I will be staying at this hotel and attending PAX East at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, looking for bars/restaurants in that area to go to after the convention.
