Can you recommend a SMTP emailer?

I need a SMTP command line interface that I can use to send messages with attatchments from the command line, so I can throw the commands into a batch file. It needs to be fairly simple to set up. Can you recommend anything?

I actually found one that seems good, but for some reason connectrion times out, even with the port open, it’s a 2wire router on sasktel, any idea what mught be the problem?
