Question about the gay scene in Pittsburgh?

I’m going to Pittsburgh this weekend on a random road trip. Where is the gay part of town? Where should I stay? I am 28 and my friend is 25. We wish to get drunk with people around my age, and walk to my hotel room.

Not sure entirely about the gay scene, but the party scene is going to be on Southside along E. Carston street. Squirrel hill is another one, but it’s more like Campus around here.
