What kind of hairstyle would work for this?

I bought long black and red feather earrings. I have an event coming up. Do you think I need to wear my hair up or in some kind of updo or do you think I could get away with them down wearing tousled waves? I have midlength red hair. I’m also probably going to wear a set of false eyelashes and a plum lipstick to go with the shorter black dress,

It would be fine either way but wearing your hair up will show off the earrings more. If that’s what you want, wear your hair up. If you want to be more subtle, wear it down. I would experiment with both looks and see what looks better to you.
