Since Saturday, happiness has been having my nearly 3 year old granddaughter with me everyday. They went to our front maple tree and began getting to work on a birdhouse they’ll certainly not remain in. It’s too small. The chickadees will most likely take it over in a week.
The sparrows (spatzies) have a large purple martin home that they’ve over filled at this point. As soon as the ground thaws, I plan to install another one.
The Red Wing Blackbirds and the scout Robins are here in full force due to the unseasonably warm weather. It looks like it will be a double or triple fledge year here.
