How do I turn off FaceBook Timeline?

Asked by whitecarnations (1638points) March 14th, 2012

I think it screws up the privacy settings.

I’m almost positive that you can’t change it back once you’ve changed to it. Either way, everyone’s going to be switched to it automatically soon enough. You can change the privacy settings yourself, though.

i can’t find how to change the privacy settings at all. it says my stuff is set to friends only. but last night a jelly told me they could see my whole time line. the thing with time line is you can only privatize on the spot posts.

There is no option to turn off timeline or revert back to the old layout. Personally, I didn’t see anything wrong with the old layout. I even liked the layout from when I first signed up for facebook.

Click the down arrow next to “home” at the top. Go to privacy settings. You can’t customize anything in this section, and your only choices are friends, everyone or friends of friends, which I think is really dumb. Why you can’t customize there is beyond me.

Click on “update info” at the top of your timeline and here, you can customize to your heart’s content. You can pick and choose who you want to view your profile.

You can also delete and hide your posts.

You can’t.

@AshlynM I loved the first layout! Where you would actually have to click someones wall. I liked the idea of no wall.
