Have you ever participated in a Color Run?

Asked by mangeons (12288points) May 16th, 2012

I was reading about the Color Run and thought it sounded like a really cool/fun idea that I’d possibly like to try some day.

Have you ever done one? If so, what was your experience like? Would you do it again? If not, does it sound like something you’d be interested in taking part in?

That looks like fun! I’d have done it when I was younger, and didn’t have fibro. Make your dad do the laundry, though. ;)

I haven’t participated in one. On the surface, it sounds really fun, and would have been willing to do it until I watched the video on the link provided. There isn’t any personal appeal to having a powder thrown in the air where it will come into contact with my eyes, nose and mouth, not to mention my glasses. If the colors were in some sort of squirt gun, then yes, sign me up.

Looks like fun, I would do it but it appears to be exclusive to USA. When it comes here, and I’m sure it will, then I will do it! In the meantime if you give it a go, let us know how it is.

Sounds like an off-shoot from paintball. I should think it would be a lot of fun. They say a lot about the fact that the paint is edible, but not if it washes out, so I’d wear things you don’t care if you wear again. That may a problem with your best running shoes. Have a good time.

I’ve never had the opportunity to be in one. But it sounds like a blast! I can’t run, just walk fast, so I’d probably get covered with color. It sounds
like fun and I’d love to be in one.

I was in Seattle’s Color Run last weekend and I would do it again… in fact I am already signed up for Portland in Sept.

@mrlaconic – did you get a pic? Did you get covered with color? Post your pic so we can see!
