How to get rid of shave scratch from face?

Asked by minnie19 (435points) May 20th, 2012 from iPhone

I have very important events coming up in 4 days, and I have a long shave scratch next to my eyebrow. I am a girl, by the way. Now the scratch looks all red and sharp. Help!!

4 days should be enough time for a cut to heal on its own, unless it’s deep. Keep it clean!

Vitamin E oil! It does wonders.
You can find it at Trader Joe’s or most Health Food Stores.
Good Luck!

Yeah, 4 days should be enough time for a shaving cut to heal.

You should pluck in future, it doesn’t hurt at all if you do it very quickly, and looks far less ugly growing back than stubble.

It should heal in 4 days, and any redness left covered up with make up.

@The_Idler Have you ever plucked your eyebrows? I wouldn’t say it doesn’t hurt at all. Especially under the arch. Between brows and above it barely registers on the pain scale at all, but under you definitely have a little pain, although it is quick of course.

Theres a big line, it formed a crust. In this case still, will ot disappear in 4 days?

Put some vitamin E oil on it and you will have no scar.

If you have topical steroid cream, this would be a good time to use it. Might well clear up tomorrow. There’s a slight chance of growing a second head, though. :P~
Crusting is natural. Don’t pick at it.

I would clean it, put something like Neosporin on it for the night, and then use the vitamin E oil for the next few days.
