I think so too! Did someone on American Idol do it by the way? I keep cliking on some of the videos but they are not of contestants

Pretty funny considering the context.

It’s pretty awesome. Kinda weirded me out at first, but the charm won me over. I love all the gestures he does while singing, too.

flo's avatar

@Blackberry the context?

flo's avatar

Anyway charm or no, just love, love, love it.

Berserker's avatar

It’s all stuck in my head now.

flo's avatar

I am hoping people will list other songs just as lovely.

He looks blind to me. His eyes are disconcerting, anyway.

It’s the kind of happy that is really happy. Tro lo lo lo lo loh – lo lo lo lo lo loh – la la la la lah…!

Sounds like recreational funtime for the fluther One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest residents.
I’m with mac, get me outta here!

I much prefer “Cat trololo” quite clever and original.

Or even “Christmas trololo” with the children’s choir, Racine, Wisconsin.

The original was just kind of weird and a bit creepy. Something about the odd expressions on his face and almost robotic head movements. Just weirded me out.

@Blackberry people can find inspiration in the middle of a war and other contexts. He sounds like he found happiness. I wish it for everyone @ucme.

ucme's avatar

@flo What happiness? Good for you, but i’m already perfectly happy thanks.

:))) @ucme how does a Q about that particular video of all the videos in the world, lead anyone to referring people who like it , as “cuckoo”?? I suppose it should be “kill police”, “hoe“s “burn the world”, and all those MTV type of images we should be inspired by.

And of course, someone willingly goes in somewhere, and then says “get me out of here” . Too funny.

And who is mac? where did he say he has your sentiment?

Berserker's avatar

MTV still exists?

flo's avatar

I hope not, hateful as heck.

Berserker's avatar

I never watched that channel because I live in Canada, and we don’t have that. We do have MuchMusic, which I understand to be the equivalent of MTV. But it pretty much just plays commercials.

flo's avatar

What about the messages from commercials?
I can’t get over women being called “hoes” Criminal!.

Berserker's avatar

I denno, I don’t watch much TV at all. I only got cable, which I didn’t have for the longest time, because my roomie wanted it. The Walking Dead and random news, and that’s it.

And Mr. Trololo rules. Never saw him on TV.

ucme's avatar

@flo trolololololol, it genuinely doesn’t matter, not all that much anyway.

wundayatta's avatar

@Symbeline You like trololo because his eyes make him look like a zombie or something. Admit it! He doesn’t look fully living.

Berserker's avatar

@wundayatta I know you’re making a joke, but actually, that really did go through my mind when I saw the vid. He’s all smiling and all, but it seems vague and…like you said, kinda not fully living. In fact, I believe this is a factor that weirded me out at first. I imagine that Michael Myers probably has a face like that behind his mask.

But either way, Trololo rocks.

flo's avatar

The question is not about the appearance of the person, or the outfit he’s wearing, the decor of the room etc. but the tune itself.

@ucme Without meaning to, you presented material for satire.

ragingloli's avatar

I like the way he walks into and out of the scene.

I want to hear more from him. I found this on Wiki:
He was the first artist to sing such songs as Woodcutters (Лесорубы in Russian) and Moon Stone (Лунный камень) by Arkady Ostrovsky, and Song about Friend (Песня о друге), Blue Cities (Голубые города), And People Go To the Sea (А люди уходят в море) by Andrey Petrov. Other popular songs performed by Khil included From What the Homeland Begins? (С чего начинается Родина?), How the Steamers Are Seen Off (Как провожают пароходы), Winter (Зима), Birch Sap (Берёзовый сок), Alder Catkin (Серёжка ольховая), We Need Only the Victory (Нам нужна одна победа), and many others.

Khil’s manner of execution of songs is unique and easily recognizable in Russia, characterized by charm, always having a great sounding bright, sonorous voice and the flight of lyrical baritone, with the powerful charge of optimism and humour.[4] On the stage Khil kept very confident, smart, accompanying singing light dance moves and spectacular gestures. By never changing his academic style of singing, Khil enjoyed enviable career longevity.

My first thought was “moronic”, but after seeing the original black-and-white version I realized that I was wrong.

It was a sort of “moronic scat”, if that’s even possible. Leave it to the Russians to invent that. Thanks for the link back.
