Are all the low brass in concert key?

Asked by jazmina88 (11652points) July 11th, 2012

I’m doing the first arrangements for marching band in 25 years. I’m old school…..........back in the day, drum corps had no valves.
So I’m rusty. Are there euphoniums these days? What’s the basic instrumentation? Contra, trombones….........it’s the mid voices i’m blurry on. No marching F horns?

Check here, it looks like pretty much none of them are in C.

My high school band had a euphonium; they’re still around.

It depends on the marching band what instruments they march. We march mellophone, marching euphoniums, and sousaphones. But other bands march trombones. I think I’ve heard of people marching F horn, but never seen it. Is the arrangement for drum corps or a college/HS marching band? I’d just check the instrumentation with the director.
