These days when we go on holiday or will not be able to access our email regularly for other reasons we set up an ‘out-of-office’ message.

We’re on a secret mission for the next 2 weeks. Will tell you about it on our return.
I’m Lost!
Cute ones having to do with lunch or breaks:
Out to lunch. If not back in ½ hour I’m out to drinks, too.
For the next two weeks I will be on vacation. You can reach me on my private cell, for emergencies only. The following are things I consider emergencies.
1. A death. (only if its mine or someone really close to me)
2. A horrible disease (only if I have it and don’t know)
3. My house has burned down.
4. My paycheck isn’t coming in on time but I have time to fix it.
Not on the list of importance. Anything work related. It will either have to wait till I get back or you pass it on to other workers.
I put that on my desk top for my boss to see. Told her to think of me as being dead for the next two weeks.
