What makes you sad?

That I have to endure the election bullshit for another four months. This shit really shouldn’t take longer than 45 days.

When I feel like I haven’t seen my best guy friend in a long time, that has the potential to make me sad.

Loneliness.

My kids living so far away and living alone.

Lately the thought of getting older and having to rely on other people some day for my care. The thought of being put in a cage like environment in the future makes me sad.

Tuition bills.

And my university is actually cheaper than most!

Seeing my daughter leave today after a ten-day visit. She flew from Albany to Vancouver, and MIlo and I cried a lot. (His eyes still look a little red even though he is not cat enough to admit it; he says it’s allergies.)

Death, concrete and kids with no parents.

Seeing others in pain.

Too many things to list. If you are sad, I am sad. Overdeveloped empathy gene.

Homeless people. I walked out of the fuckin’ library today and there was a man lying by the fence sleeping. It made me so damn sad and so damn angry. I live in one of the richest countries in the world and we have people who have no roof over their heads. How the hell is that right? So, that makes me sad. I wanted to wake him up and to buy him soup or something. Just wrong.

Remembering past mistakes I’ve made. Some were pretty serious.

Having pneumonia for the first time. I would rather be dead.

Not being able to help all the people in need.
Seeing animals in pain.
The fact that I was born at the wrong era.

Mountain goats with vertigo, poor little buggers.

Mental illness, life, the past.
