What is a good practical way to duplicate a CD collection?

Asked by mazingerz88 (28813points) September 6th, 2012

I have around 60 CDs with 16 to 18 songs each and I don’t have my hardrive anymore where I downloaded the songs. Do I have to copy them in my new computer so I could burn them again to new CDs? Other options? Thanks.

I have copies on my computer and on several backup harddrives and also my phone. I don’t use CDs any more, so I don’t have a reason to burn new ones.

Yes, that should suffice. I just prefer having back-up CDs as well.

I think you gave the most practical answer.

If you listen to Plato, however, a cheap way to duplicate the CDs would be to make sure they’re visible through a mirror.

There is a thing called pen drive or USB drive. Copy data on it and keep it.

I ripped all my CDs (and some of those of my friend’s) to my laptop and then copied them to a flashdrive to use in my car. Now I can carry about 140 CDs on a flashdrive in my car and play it on random and get only songs I really like.
