Help! Need to know 1 paragraph from Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones?

I took this book out from our local library and have been reading it to my kids. Tonight we got to chapter 11 and the first paragraph has been scribbled out with a ball-point pen and is totally unreadable! My kids are very anxious to continue with the story! If anyone has the book and would be kind enough to type in the first paragraph from chapter 11, it would make one Daddy and 2 little kids VERY happy!

@MrKarst how does the book compare to the anime? I’ve loved the anime for some years and have toyed around with reading the book for a while but never got around to it.

I have seen the film a few times and loved it. The book is also excellent and lends itself very well to being read aloud. I highly recommend it, whether or not you’ve seen the film!
