Im gonna get the basic one with student discount and a $100 printer and Im not sure about the 3yr warranty?

jacklikesllamas's avatar

i got the student offer.. and i got like 3 programs and the warranty.. also did the “give 50 bux ” for the ipod video. and i got the 100 dollar printer.. so it came out good actually.

Worth every penny!! And yes, get APP. It won’t cover damage, but think how much you’d kick yourself if you have to pay twice as much for a repair 2 months after the standard warranty ends.

yeah they have an offer now for a free itouch with a student computer purchase. Too bad you have pay for it upfront then send in a rebate… :/

melly6708's avatar

you should do it.. you have to send a rebate for the printer anyways..(if u get it)

i sent the rebate for the printer and it was fast and easy.. just remember to make copies of all ur papers and reciepts in case they wear out

Absolutely worth it.

crunchaweezy's avatar

Absolutely! It all started with an iPod for me back a few years, and now I have a 24” iMac (3.06ghz) and top of the line 17” Macbook Pro. I have never regretted it.

The iMac came out to $2400 and the Macbook Pro was a little over $3000. Worth every penny.

If you don’t mind saving money, but using more of your time “fixing” your pc. Then stay with PC.

If you want to have almost zero problems, good looks, easy of use and more time to waste on other things, like Fluther, then get the mac.

@jacklikesllamas, if you are going to be joining the Mac community, learn to say iPod touch, as it is not called an itouch. that would be like me saying i have an iNano. sorry, but its annoying
