Website where random people give advice and console you? (please see details)

Asked by NostalgicChills (2787points) September 26th, 2012

There’s this website out there somewhere where you go on it when you’re feeling down and random strangers just listen to you. It’s a chat basically. I forgot the name of it though; for some reason my brain thinks it is something along the lines of “melting pot” or some soup related name.

No it’s not Fluther. You guys are great and all, but I’m just a kid and my problems are going to sound stupid and immature.

No problem is stupid or immature, you are welcome to post, I will listen. Please PM the link so I know its posted though.

Use fluther. Remind us how old you are before you impart info. We treat teen-agers with tenderness, by and large. (Edit your question to make it readable and clear, and we will love you forever.)

Oh, come on, @NostalgicChills. You’ve seen some of the adults’ postings here. You can admit it: “Boy, those things are stupid and immature.”

Until you said so just now I had no idea you were “a kid”. I knew you were young, but I can’t recall having thought of you as “stupid and immature”. (Well, not frequently, anyway.) As for the adults, I could give you a list of names…

Not sure if this is quite what you’re looking for, but Samaritans sounds a bit like that. As you can tell they help people with suicidal tendencies and depression, but really anything goes. You can e-mail a ’‘volunteer’’ with whatever’s bothering you and they’ll always reply. They can listen, support you, or offer advice or help you look for crisis centers in your area and stuff.
If you live around where they’re situated (UK) they have locations you can get to, and you can also phone there. I know they also have a live chat thing, or they’re supposed to, but I can’t find it. :/
